CDR Philippine Location Request for Help – COVID19

Below is a recent letter from Vincent Balingan request disaster resources at our Philippine location.

Dear Dr. Ron & Sister Sharon Patterson,

Greetings of peace and joy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, in the name of our good Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I hope that despite the steep rise in COVID cases in the USA and here in the Philippines, God is still sparing you and the rest of Christian Disaster Response family.

Here in the Philippines, our church and our IDRN/Christian Disaster Response Network have started pockets of relief distribution. People cannot freely go to another village and even those who have money can’t really buy much due to the strict anti-hoarding control.  Despite the hundreds of billion pesos entrusted to our president with his emergency powers granted by Congress, our situation is getting worse. It may turn into a disaster if our national and local leaders cannot get their act together.

We are praying to activate a mobile kitchen for our front liners (medical, security and other critical support staff) as well as provide more relief packs. We are also in need of personal protective equipments (PPEs) and other medical supplies.

Please lift us up to God in your prayers as we also always remember you in our prayers. God bless us all.

Yours in Christ,

Brother Vincent Balingan
